One of the Valley’s best-known DJs, William Reed hosts the popular dance/rock night Shake! at Scottsdale’s The Rogue every Saturday.

But the 28-year-old Phoenix resident, who's also director of marketing at the Clarendon Hotel, says he's no party animal.

‘‘I really only go out on Saturday nights when I’m DJing Shake!’’ he says, adding, ‘‘I really don’t have much downtime. Any time I do have is spent with my girlfriend or my mates, traveling, on the tennis court or doing yoga.

‘‘At the moment, I’m focusing on remodeling my new condo. I’m also fixing up my 1973 Vespa Sprint scooter, which is currently for sale.’’

Close to 20.

Ever been in a fistfight?

Yes. With my brother. I won. Oh, yeah!

Moons Over My Hammy.

A natural crystal stick. It’s all-natural, and it doesn’t have an odor to it. Below 95 it works. Above that I’ll probably use a Tom’s of Maine.

Name five things you can’t live without.

My music, my girl, my work, my friends and Internet.

The Rogue on a Saturday night. Aside from that, poolside at The Mondrian is nice on a Sunday. I also really like the Jade bar (in Sanctuary Resort on Camelback Mountain).

When was the last time you cried?

A couple weeks ago. My mom had a heart attack but she’s good now. She had a full recovery.

Are you wearing underwear today?

No. It’s laundry day.

Where's the weirdest place you've ever made whoopee?

An empty movie theater with a children’s movie playing or in a moving vehicle.

Pretty much anything by Slayer is pretty homicidal, and Easy-E and N.W.A.

It’s a tossup between Dita Von Teese and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
