| Coldplay to bring 'Viva la Vida' tour to Valley in July | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Led by singer/songwriter Chris Martin (known in the tabloids as actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband), Coldplay formed in London in 1998 and their debut disc, “Parachutes” (2000), produced the Top 10 modern rock hit “Yellow” and their follow up disc, “A Rush of Blood to the Head” (2002) was even more successful, landing on the Top 10 albums chart and yielding the Top 10 modern rock track “Clocks.” Coldplay scored their first U.S. No 1 album with 2005’s “X&Y” and their new album, “Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends,” said to be a change in musical direction for the band, will be released on June 17 of this year.
