Reunited Stone Temple Pilots to play Dodge Theatre

STP singer Scott Weiland, who is almost as well known for his skirmishes with the law and for his well-documented drug problems as he is for his music, had been the lead singer for Velvet Revolver (also featuring former members of Guns ‘N Roses) for the past few years before leaving that band in April to reunite with Stone Temple Pilots.

The band, which also includes brothers Robert (bass) and Dean (guitar) DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz, has scored rock hits with “Sex Type Thing,” “Plush” (for which the band won a best hard rock performance Grammy in 1994) and “Interstate Love Song.” All five of the band’s studio albums have either gone gold or platinum.

Tickets for the Dodge Theatre show, priced from $41-$60, go on sale Saturday, May 10, at the Dodge Theatre box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.com and live nation.com.
