Psychobilly pioneers The Guana Batz will play their first Arizona show on Friday, May 2 at Chasers Bar & Nightclub, 8005 E. Roosevelt St., Scottsdale. The Guana Batz formed in 1982 in a London borough during the early-’80s rockabilly revival and scored several hits on the UK indie rock charts before they disbanded in 1990 (and reunited in 1996). The show, sponsored by azrockabilly.net (“Arizona’s true home for Rockabilly and Hot Rod Kulture”), also features Santa Cruz, Calif., band The Choptops, Chicago’s Three Blue Teardrops and Scottsdale’s own Acapulco 5-0. $13. All ages. (480) 945-4985 or azrockabilly.net. RCPM’s 'Turbo Ocho’ out now; Bentley’s best-of hits May 6 Tempe’s Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers have released their latest disc, “Turbo Ocho,” which appeared in stores on Tuesday, April 29. And Phoenix native and country music star Dierks Bentley will see the release of “Every Mile a Memory: Greatest Hits 2003-2008” on Tuesday, May 6. “Turbo Ocho” was released for fans via download at azpeacemakers.com as RCPM recorded the album over eight days in Mexico in January, but the disc is now available in hard copy in stores throughout the country. For Bentley’s first greatest-hits package, the singer allowed his fans to choose the disc’s songs (he lists more than 3,000 fans as “executive producers” in the album’s liner notes). Tracks that made the cut include his 2003 breakthrough hit, “What Was I Thinkin,’ ” “Lot of Leavin’ Left to Do” and “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go),” plus live tracks and two new songs. For more info on these artists visit azpeacemakers.com or dierks.com.
