"Homeland," which debuts Wednesday night at New York's Zankel Hall before an international tour, is Anderson's concert-poem exploration of modern American fears, insecurities and pop culture. An album will be released by Nonesuch Records later this year. "Laurie Anderson is a longtime favorite of our audiences, and we're sorry that it's not possible to present her Homeland performance as planned," said Kathy Hotchner, vice president and director of the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, in a recent press release. "We look forward to bringing Laurie back to our stage for another performance in the near future." Anderson's last performance, "The End of the Moon," played Scottsdale in early 2005. Ticket buyers, according to organizers, are being contacted for refunds. Refunds are also available at the original point of purchase. For information, call (480) 994-2787.
