| Jonas Brothers to headline Cricket Wireless Pavilion | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| By Chris Hansen Orf, Get Out | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| March 20, 2008 | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The Jonas Brothers (20 year old Kevin, Joe, 18 and Nick, 15) were dropped by Columbia Records in 2007 and were quickly snatched up by Disney, who marketed the band to the “tweenagers” watching “Hannah Montana.” But don’t be fooled, the trio are crack musicians and their catchy power pop tunes owe more to bands such as The Beatles, Cheap Trick, Badfinger and The Raspberries than it does to Cyrus’ work as Hannah Montana. The Jonas Brothers’ self-titled 2007 disc climbed as high as No. 5 on the Billboard album chart. Tickets for the Cricket Wireless Pavilion show, priced from $25-$75, go on sale at noon Saturday, March 29 at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.com and livenation.com.
