| Robert Plant and Alison Krauss to play Valley in July | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| By Chris Hansen Orf, Get Out | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| February 26, 2008 | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Plant, best known as the lead singer for Led Zeppelin, and Krauss, a bluegrass fiddle virtuoso who has scored plenty of country hits, may on the surface seem to be a mismatched duo, but the two singers found common ground in their mutual love of old country, blues and folk. Their tune “Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)” won a Grammy earlier this month for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocal. “Raising Sand” producer and talented musician in his own right, T-Bone Burnett, will open the show. Tickets, $45 to $125, go on sale 10 a.m. March 10, at livenation.com, ticketmaster.com, the Dodge Theatre box office or by calling (480) 784-4444.
