“American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks will open for Alicia Keys on tour beginning in April – including a May 12 concert at Jobing.com Arena in Sparks’ hometown of Glendale.

Ticket information had not been announced as of Monday afternoon.

The season six winner of the television talent show juggernaut, Sparks' last West Valley vocal display was at the Super Bowl, Feb. 3, in which she performed the national anthem. Keys, meanwhile, served as a pre-show entertainer on the same field.

The upcoming concert date will mark Sparks' second Jobing.com Arena show in less than a year; she performed there July 18 as part of an "American Idols Live" tour.

Get Out music writer Chris Hansen Orf reviewed the show, saying, "She could do no wrong in front of her hometown fans ... who cheered her every move Wednesday night."
