And if you’re thirsty, there are more than 30 beers on tap, with offerings beyond the typical Miller Lite (try the Red Fox Amber Ale). The crowd ranges from people in their 20s to 60s, and everyone we encounter, including the wait staff, is warm and friendly. The menu: Fox & Hound offers more than your typical pub grub with options such as pizzas, melts, specialty sandwiches, pasta and ribs. There are even a few low-carb selections. The music: When there isn’t a game on, there’s usually a mix of top 40 CDs playing. A DJ spins on the first Sunday of every month. Happy hour: Half-price appetizers from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Saturday with additional daily specials. The verdict: Sports bars are a dime a dozen, but quality sports bars are hard to come by, which is why we love Fox & Hound. Men and women of all ages are sure to feel at home here. >> Fox & Hound Pub & Grille, 1017 E.
