| Downtown Mesa's Windup Gallery closing | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| By Chris Page, Get Out | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| February 5, 2008 | ||||||||||||||||||||||
(Feature: Mesa’s Windup Gallery fosters owners’ love for "lowbrow" art, June 3, 2007.) The closing comes as the eclectic "lowbrow" art gallery's landlord offered to buy up their remaining lease, Cresta says; another downtown merchant is looking to develop a restaurant in the storefront. It was just as well, Cresta adds: She and her husband, Anthony, had mostly been selling work to buyers outside of the area. Lindsay Cresta, meanwhile, continues running her successful Queens Bakery and Pizzaria across the street, at 125 W. Main St., which she opened in the wake of opening the gallery. (Read our 2 for $20 lunchtime review here.) Cresta's eatery will continue to exhibit several lowbrow artworks in the dining area. I am Lindsay's sister in law. I did Anthony and her a favor when they moved from New York in 2006 and got him a job by forging a resume and credentials to get him work as a manager at Citifinancial , bypassing other qualified individuals. He was fired and I had to resign when it was discovered. I am not surprised he failed at this art gallery. I feel sorry for Lindsay. Comment has been reviewedMay 2, 2008

Anthony and Lindsay Cresta are dedicated to their passion for art. I apologize that someone feels the need to use my name to spread gossip and rumors. I am actually Lindsay's sister not her sister in law and the comments made on 5/2/2008 are false and were not done by me. Suggest removal of this commentJune 1, 2008
